For this post, we will look a little at what is good to eat before and after a workout. That is approximately 30 minutes before, and up to 2 hours after.
The food I recommend you eat before a workout, provide instant energy and help with a healthy workout session. Mind this shouldn’t be a heavy meal.
The food I recommend for after the workout mostly provide some protein that helps repair tissues and helps build muscle.

Before workout:

  • Banana
  • Dried fruit/nuts
  • Peanut butter
  • Dark chocolate
  • Apples
  • Avocado

After workout:

  • Banana (bananas are always good)
  • Peanut butter (peanut butter is also good after workout)
  • Milk
  • Fish
  • Chicken
  • Eggs


Beside this I would recommend drinking lots of water, especially if you are doing a hard workout.
