FIRST: an introduction:
I bought this box after trying some of Ritual’s products (ritual of happy buddha shower foam and the ritual of karma foot lotion) and I fell in love with the company and the way they sell and manufacture their products and brand.
Therefore; when I saw Goodiebox made a collaboration box with Rituals, I knew I had to have it!
The Ritual of Karma in introduced on their homepage with the words;
According to ancient Hindu belief, living with good intent attracts good karma.
Do good and good will come your way.
This mantra is something I wouldn’t mind living by, and I definitely believe that good people, often get good vibes back (smiles attracts smiles)
The collection contains Holy lotus and Organic white tea.
Holy Lotus is a symbol for purity, beauty and wisdom, and is known for it’s calming and nourishing properties.
Organic white tea adds a fresh, clean and green scent with a hint of flowers. White tea is said to sharpen the senses.
Now for the most important thing; The design
Holy smokes for this packaging! It is the most adorable, beautiful and stunning box design I have ever seen (well at least gotten in a Goodiebox) and I really really love it!
The products itself are also super pretty. The blue colour is stunning, and actually reminds me of summer AND good vibes. All the products have the words; do good and good will come your way, written on them
When I opened the box, the White tea was the first thing I noticed. It’s scent is very clean and fresh, almost soapy, and it was a very pleasant scent, that stayed all the way through the products.
Feel compassion foot scrub
Their words:
This scrub combines the refreshing effect of Chinese mint with the nourishing organic white tea, polish your skin and makes it silk smooth.
My Thoughts:
This product smells a little stronger than the other products, which I think is due to the mint/white tea combination. It does not smell bad at all, just cleaner.
The scrub itself reminded me more of a gel like consistency, and I did not think the actual product would be blue. The colour made me smile, and it was a very gently but feelable scrub. The scent kind of spread when I used it, and that just made me happier.
I definitely felt compassion for my foots at that point.
Showerfoam full of kindness
Their words:
The rich, delicious foam with the unique technology where gel becomes foam, is enriched with holy lotus and organic white tea. It makes your skin silk smooth and makes it smell wonderful, so that you can have a nice summer atmosphere all day.
My thoughts:
My absolute favorite product that I have ever tried from Rituals, is their “The ritual of happy buddha shower foam” – that is the most satisfying, nice scented and most efficient shower/gel/foam product for showering that I have ever tried!
Because of this I had a lot of high hopes for this showerfoam, and I was definitely not let down! This foam is just as satisfying as the other one (the gel to foam makes me feel like a magician in the shower, and always make me smile).
The scent was once again subtle and I was enshrouded in the calming feeling it gave.
A fun thing I noticed while using this foam (and the other one from Rituals, that is) is that I feel like I want to be cleaner. Normally when I am in a hurry and shower, I will just wash the important parts and get on with it (you are welcome to shame me, but I am just being real here) but with these, I feel like I really want to take the time to wash everything so that I can be 100% enveloped in the calming feeling it gives me. (and yes, I did get silk smooth skin, so washing all your body with this wonder equals baby butt skin all over 😉 )
I will have to buy more of these when I am out of the ones I have now because I simply get insanely happy whenever I use them.
The only thing I am sad about, is the same issue I had with the first one I tried. The gel left in the top of the pump turns into foam, and makes a mess into the lid. It is not a “real” problem, just a little annoying, since I have to clean if after it is done foaming if I want to keep the product instaworthy.
24h anti-perspirant spray
Their words:
This mind and nourishing spray, gives 24 hours protection against sweat and unwanted body odor, and it enriched with skincare ingredients like holy lotus and organic white tea.
My thoughts:
The spray is very even and sprays without trouble.
It smells just as clean as the other products and that makes me especially happy because it is a “deodorant” with a less fancy word 😉 (translation: I think almost all products with spray function like this, kind of end up smelling the same- that is; a little chemical)
Not much to say here, but I used it before nighttime, and when I woke up, I still felt fresh even after a warm night.
I will keep on using this, but am not sure if I will buy another one (shame on me, but I suck at using deodorant and the like)
Sun Protecting face cream
Their words:
A rich, moisturizing creme that quickly absorbs by the skin and with an advanced protection system with a powerful mix of antioxidants based on organic white tea, natural vitamin E and ginkgo biloba. When you use it, you get protected against early aging as a consequence of UVA and UVB-rays. The creme is also waterproof, so it is perfect at the pool or the beach.
My thoughts:
I had quite the roller coaster with this product when I put it on. At first the cream felt cold to the touch, when smearing it into my skin, it felt warm, and afterwards it just felt comfortable.
It didn’t sink into the skin right away, but it didn’t feel really sticky either. This did not surprise me though, because cremes with SPF usually feels sticky to me, so I am quite impressed with little stickiness was left.
Afterwards several minutes, it felt like the creme sank into the skin, and it felt more comfortable.
The creme hydrated my skin nicely, and I felt ready to go out and have fun in the sun.
In regards to the waterproof part, I tried putting some on my hand, and afterwards ran it under the faucet
Self-tanning face cream
Their words:
The product is easy to apply, is absorbed quickly by the skin, does not stick and gives a nice, even colour. It is enriched with vitamin E, which hydrated your skin and helps maintain the moisture balance. Aloe Vera and ginkgo biloba functions as powerful antioxidants, which boosts your wellbeing. The creme refresh the senses with the summery scent of holy lotus and organic white tea.
My thoughts:
The packaging on this product is different than the others since it is gold. It fits the theme of being a self-tanning cream, but still a bit off considering the blue theme we have going.
It does not smell as strong, and the white tea scent was a little laid back here.
The product was indeed easy to apply, you just have to remember to wash your hands afterwards and get the product out to the edge of your hair (to get an even skin tone) I got an almost instant shinier (and maybe a little more tanned) skin, so I definitely felt more sunkissed after than I did before.
I won’t really be using this later though, because I don’t feel like I need a self-tanning face cream.
Gratitude hand lotion SPF 15
Their words:
This delicious lotion is made specially to nourish, soften and protect your hands against early aging and sun. It is enriched with the wonderful scent of holy lotus and organic white tea, and it gets absorbed quickly by the skin, so that you can get out in the sun as quick as possible.
My thoughts:
The fact that this is a hand lotion with SPF just gives the product a lot more street cred in my opinion.
It has a very nice consistency, but I- as always – used way too much! Therefore, I used it on my arm also, and it soaked in really quickly leaving no greasiness behind. I didn’t even feel like washing my hands afterwards, so for the first time ever; I didn’t.
My skin felt very refreshed afterwards, and overall, I am really happy about this lotion.
Overall, I really loved these products, and truth be told, I have already bought more of their products (guilty as charged!)
