This is one thing I love. Masks and strips to remove blackheads.
I know, I know. It is not healthy for the skin because you literally rip in your skin, and can actually damage it instead of doing better.
Therefore I don’t use these frequently. I usually use them once in a while when I feel like I REALLY need it, and that time is now. These are known to rip out blackheads and impurities, and therefore can be a bit harsh to the skin and even hurt quite a bit to take off.
Nonetheless I love the sensation of using them, especially if they work, and therefore we are today trying out the Holika Holika Pig Clear Strong Blackhead Spot Pore Strip
Oh, and beware: if you do not want to see pictures of my newly ripped skin and fresh impurities, you might want to walk out now.

Their words:
A pack of pore strips. Suitable for all skin types, Pig Nose Clear Strong Blackhead Spot Pore Strip aids in the removal of blackheads, acne and other inflammations. Each patch delivers a powerful burst of witch hazel and aloe extracts to promote deep cleansing of the pores, soothe problem skin and create a smooth, clarified finish.
Witch Hazel Extract – tones skin, reduces puffiness and narrows pores
Aloe Extract – Accelerates the growth of new skin cells and slows down the aging process
My thoughts: What in the world is up with this ultra-long name? Isn’t half of those word enough? I have heard a lot of good things about these, especially the fact that they rip out everything. On that note I have also heard that they hurt a lot
Applying: Apply to wet, clean skin, leave for 15 minutes and then rip off. Easy peasy and quite effective
Feel: Didn’t really hurt much, but well; I am used to waxing myself so this type of pain is absolutely nothing. Easy to use when I finally wet my skin a lot. Actually take out a lot of impurities, which I really like. They come in these small circles that makes it easier to just clear one place instead of using those masks that are made for all your face. Works very well, and I am very impressed with it.
Packaging: Easy packaging, comes in packs of three round circles. There is a pig nose on the packaging which is quite fitting.
Scent: No scent to find here
Labels: I cannot find any
Ingredients: These are quite intricate so I will keep away from the ingredient list
Claims: Well it definitely clears my pores without feeling too stripping and ruining my skin.
Price: 9 Euro for 18 patches
Will I use it again: Yes, and I already have done quite some times. They definitely work but you have to have wet skin to use them.
What is your thought on rip off, and blackhead removing masks?
I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!
