For November we go back to a yes mentality and tell ourselves that we got this.

In short, if we doubt ourselves it is because our brains have a tendency to make things worse than they are.

So, try reminding yourself about just three things you are actually good at. Right now.

This month’s box is a pause where we can pamper ourselves and give ourselves a pat on the back because of all the things we do every day- things we may not even notice.

Stop worrying about our to-dos and instead put “I got this” on your woohoo list.

Instead of me explaining more, I think we should just go straight into the review. – That you can also find on my YouTube Channel if you would like to watch it.

Phase Zero – Bare Necessities Eyeshadow Palette

Their words:

Here is a palette that lives up to its name, Bare Necessities, Because it has exactly what you need to make a work to out look- which of course can also be the same look- we don’t judge. But it does not only give the eyeshadows, there is also a bronzer and a blush, which almost makes it a all-in-one palette! What’s not to like?

My thoughts: Why do they have an icy blue and a pink shimmer in this? They do not really seem to fit the palette?

Applying: The bronzer was the only part that applied flawlessly. The blush really had to be built up, and the matte shadows took a while to blend. Nonetheless if I just gave it a bit of time, no problem. The shimmers on the other hand though… I usually just use my finger to apply and that is fine, but with this one, the shimmer was a bit too wet and ended up all around my eyes- I truly don’t know how. Other than that, I guess there was no problems.

Feel: The matte eyeshadows, blush and bronzer all seemed very normal, but the shimmers felt a bit wet to the touch. Two of the shimmers separated with glitter all over. It stayed on for as long as I needed it to, which was about 10 hours without smudging or budging. Just beware though, if you accidentally touch the glitters in the wrong way- it goes everywhere.

Packaging: I quite like the packaging, though I would love if the shadows had names, and if they just squeezed a highlighter in the middle of blush and bronzer.
And uh, why did they put a pink and blueish shimmer in here? I don’t know but they do not seem to fit in with the rest.

Scent: Smells like powder and cardboard.

Labels: I can see none.

Tocopherol: A form of vitamin E. Antioxidant.
Ginkgo Bilboa Leaf Extract: Potent antioxidant, soothing ingredient.
Oenothera Biennis Oil: Evening Primrose Oil. Skin soothing, emollient.

Claims: They don’t really have any claims, but they do say that this is all you should need. I would like to disagree with that. The icy bluish colour and the pink sticks out to me, and if it is really all you should need, please put a small highlighter in between the blush and bronzer

Price: 298 DKK – 40 EURO – 48 USD

Will I use it again: I won’t be using this again. Though it is cool, I got other, much better palettes.

Nails Inc. – 45 Second Top Coat With Retinol

Their words:

We love colourful nails, but not so much not being able to do anything until the polish dries! With this 45 second top coat from Nails Inc. is the waiting time almost done. The nails get a glossy, professional look that makes them look like they got a saloon treatment. Take the top off before opening the polish, but psst.. you can actually use the top to support your fingers when you put the polish on. Smart right?

My thoughts: I like how we got a nail polish last time and this time we got a topper. That makes me happy and even more inclined to use both products. Oh and why do they have retinol in this? Does it help anything?

Applying: Easy to apply, though I did notice when trying to seal the nail that I just removed the nail polish on the tip of my nail instead. I also noticed that one of my nails needed more like 1 minute than 45 seconds to dry completely but that is not so bad. The nail polish I put on underneath usually dry very fast by itself so I had almost no trouble with the drying part.

Feel: The finish I get is very pretty and shiny. Lasts only a couple of days though, but look better chapped than chapped nail polish without this top coat.

Packaging: The look itself is very standard but I haaaaate this type of lid! I ended up using my teeth to loosen the brush applicator because it was too hard for me to grab onto. Not ideal guys…

Scent: Smells like one of the strongest nail polishes I have ever smelled. Dang. And a thing to notice, the smell lingers even after having put it on.

Labels: Cruelty Free and Vegan.

Ingredients: I will not talk about these since I don’t find them that important compared to skincare ingredients.

Claims: Dries in pretty much 45 seconds. I might give it a few more seconds to be safe, but that is still not long it takes. My nails also looked pretty afterwards.

Price: 129 DKK – 17,5 EURO – 22 USD

Will I use it again: I think so, but I never really use nail polish so it might not be soon.

Luxliss – Nourishing Hair Care Serum

Their words:

Cold weather and hats taken on and off is not the best for your hair. So give it some extra love with this hair care serum from Luxliss. It helps smooth and giving shine, all while it makes sure the hair does not ripple. It gives moisture to dry hair and helps protect the hair against heat. Use a small amount in damp or dry hair. Do not rinse out.

My thoughts: Oh my god I hate this bottle. I’m sorry to say but that was my first thought.

Applying: I had to laugh at the people making this bottle because “what are you doing?”. It was super hard to get any product out because there is a hole in the top – not a droplet or actual hole but one of those annoying ones where if you want to get something out, you shake forever to do so. It is not possible to sqeeze product out and my only other option would be taking the whole cap off or destroying the bottle.
When I had product in my hands – much easier to apply.

Feel: my hair instantly looked shiner and less dry, while being tamed just a little bit.

Packaging: Shall I really talk about this? The packaging is horrible. It is almost not possible to get product out, and I cannot read anything written on it.

Scent: Smells nice and flowery.

Labels: Recyclable, vegan and not tested on animals.

Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil: Oil Expressed from the kernels of the argan tree. Emollient and antioxidant.

Sclerocarya Birrea: Marula Oil. Non-fragrant plant oil. Is a rich source of fatty acids including palmitic and stearic acids that are good for the skin.
Camellia Japonica Flower Extract: Tsubaki. Amazing antioxidant, anti-pollution and has soothing abilities.
↑ Tocopheryl Acetate: A form of vitamin E. Antioxidant.
Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract: Antioxidant & skin soothing.

Fragrance: Can be sensitizing. Can also be called Parfum. When using the term fragrance, it is unknown if there is one fragrance or 20.

Claims: The serum both moisturized and helped my hair look shinier without looking greasy

Price: 170 DKK – 23 EURO – 27 USD

Will I use it again: I will use it up, but I am so mad at this bottle that I will not buy a new one.

Ivy Aia – Face Cream With Provitamin B5

Their words:

When the weather gets colder the skin needs more love. Ivy Aïa has made a creme that gives it the attention it deserves. ProVitamin B5 converts to Vitamin B5 that is calming and nourishes the skin. It gives intense hydration throughout the day. Use it morning and night after cleaning your face.

My thoughts: It has been a while since I tried anything from this brand, but I remember that it was very gentle on my skin.

Applying: Easy to apply, but it did take a while for it to sink in completely. Even after quite some time my face still felt moisturized and a bit smooth/creamy.

Feel: It has a thick and very creamy texture that really packs onto the skin.

Packaging: Packaging looks like all of Ivy Aïa’s packaging. They proudly display their labels and most important properties.

Scent: I honestly do not really smell anything which I is truly amazing.

Labels: Perfume free, 100% vegan and allergy certified.

Panthenol: Attracts & holds moisture.

Claims: It definitely gives a lot of hydration and I feel like it nourishes my skin making it feel more… Slippery? Moist? I don’t think the word hydrated is quite right because the consistency of the cream is very thick, so I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Price: 49 DKK – 6,5 EURO – 8 USD

Will I use it again: I will use it up, but I will not buy a new one, it is a bit too thick and creamy for me.

Starskin – VIP THE GOLD MASK™ Eye – Revitalizing Luxury Gold Foil Eye Mask

Their words:

Now starts the season where the weather forces us to be in. That might mean ending up with a “just one more episode” dilemma, but with these eye masks you don’t have to worry about dark circles under your eyes or puffy eyes. The ingredients in the mask, all help freshen up and make your eye area better. Use it under the eye and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Distribute the excess serum into the skin. Tadaa – Fresh look again!

My thoughts: This craze about gold, I do not get. Nonetheless I want to try.

Applying: It was pretty straightforward placing this underneath my eyes, and there was a guide so really no problems. The only thing is, that there was a lot of product in the packaging so I feel like there could have been at least a couple of masks more for all that goodness. Now that I think about it I should have just slathered my body in it instead of throwing it out. Dang.

Feel: Felt nice and cold to the touch and sat where it should without moving AT ALL.
After about 10 minutes I did feel a bit of a tingle here and there, so I soon after took it off. My undereye area looked much brighter afterwards.

Packaging: Nice little packaging with great instructions.

Scent: I don’t really notice a real scent here- which is funny since they put fragrance in it.

Labels: Unless non-water, meteobrite, VIP Treatment and travel friendly are labels, I truly can find none.

Glycerin: Replenish & restoring. Hydrating.
Althea Officinalis: This is the Latin name for the marshmallow plant. It is skin soothing.
Sodium Hyaluronate: Replenish. Salt form of hyaluronic acid.
Panthenol: Attracts & holds moisture.
Myrciaria Dubai Fruit Extract: Camu Camu. A berry with strong antioxidant properties. Source of minerals and fatty acids.
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate: Skin soothing.
Allantoin: Effective at soothing skin. Skin conditioning.

Fragrance: Can be sensitizing. Can also be called Parfum. When using the term fragrance, it is unknown if there is one fragrance or 20.

Claims: My undereye area definitely looked brighter after using these, so uhm. Thank you- I guess.

Price: 190 DKK – 25,5 EURO– 30,5 USD

Will I use it again: I don’t think I will buy them again, simply because of the undisclosed amount of fragrance in here. Putting fragrant products straight under my eyes like this kind of concerns me- especially since I do not know how much or how many fragrances there are. And since it actually began tingling a bit, I will stay away from these.

The Body Shop – Hand Cream

Their words:

Your hands need more attention in the cold months and The Body Shop has come to help! Their hand creme gives your hands a moisturizing hug and makes sure you get through the season without dry hands. But the best is, that it smells like autumn, so you get into a real “hygge” mood. Yay! Look forward to trying one of the four variants!

My thoughts: I got the one names festive berries, which is with cranberry seed oil.

Applying: Easy to apply and dries pretty quickly.

Feel: Feels nice and moisturizing but not too excessive so it does not get sticky.

Packaging: I love The Body Shop’s design on these. Almost all of their winter products are super cute and the one I got is too.

Scent: The scent is sweet and berry like, much like I expected but it smells super good.

Labels: Cruelty Free.

Glycerin: Replenish & restoring. Hydrating.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Derived from coconut oil & glycerin.  Emollient & skin replenishing. Has a mix of fatty acids that skin can use to replenish its surface and resist moisture loss. Also a thickener.

Limonene: Fragrance from citrus oils, pine trees or spices of mint. Can be sensitizing when exposed to air but otherwise a strong antioxidant and can calm skin.

Claims: It definitely smell super good, and is also hydrating. If it will help me get through the season without dry hands – only time will tell.

Price: 40 DKK – 5,5 EURO – 6,5 USD

Will I use it again: I will use it up, even if it is just to enjoy the scent, but in general I don’t really use hand creams, so I will not have to buy a new one (I already got lots at home)

That is simply all for this box, and I must say 6 products are quite some. Just too bad I don’t really LOVE any of them (well I do love the hand cream- I just never use it)

Have you ever tried any of these?

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!
