Gosh – Fake it! Lash Primer

Their words:

Use this nourishing primer in your morning routine. Not only does it help separate your lashes, but it also makes them look longer and more filled. To begin your fabulous lashes, use the primer directly on the lash root to the top and then use your normal mascara on top.

My thoughts: I did really think we would get a mascara not a primer, but since the “normal” Goodiebox contained a mascara these fit hand in hand without this lash primer looking out of place.

Applying: Applies like a normal mascara, so that is very forward.

Feel: At first look, looks just like a normal greyish mascara, and that makes me feel like I could just use a normal mascara instead – aren’t normal primers transparent?

After applying mascara this grey look hit me once more. The mascara stuck itself onto the primer in most of the places, but some single lashes just did not want to be covered and stayed grey. That is really not a good look. My lower lashes did look quite full compared to normal mascara without primer, but still kept that greyish look.

To the left, primer and mascara. To the right, only mascara.

Packaging: This primer looks pretty much like a mascara through and through. Sticky fingers are mandatory to have on this packaging- the silver look just makes it so.

Scent: The scent is between mascara and a normal primer.

Labels: None to be found.

Ingredients:
Titanium Dioxide: Thickening, whitening, lubricating and sunscreen ingredient. Protects from UVA and UVB radiation.
Sodium Hyaluronate: Replenish. Salt form of hyaluronic acid.
Helianthus Annus Seed Oil: Sunflower seed oil. Replenish, strengthen and soothe skin. Good on dry, dehydrated or compromised skin. Can help reduce signs of stress or irritation to the skin.
Lecithin: Found in egg yolks and plants. Emollient & water binding agent. Has skin restoring abilities.
Ascorbyl Palmitate: Form of vitamin C. Effective antioxidant. Effective at reducing environmental damage.
Tocopherol: A form of vitamin E. Antioxidant.
Hydrolyzed Soy Protein: Skin soothing. Great antioxidant.

Claims: It did make my lashes look fuller, but honestly a couple more layers of mascara could do the same.

Price: 149 DKK – 20 EURO – 24,5 USD

Will I use it again: I truly will not, unless it is because I need a grey mascara.

100% showed increased skin hydration

96% saw smoother, softer skin

85% saw an improvement in the appearance of wrinkles

77% said pores appeared smaller.

My thoughts: I think this is the first product where my Goodiebox account has actually been used for anything. When signing up I set my profile, explaining my hair, skin and colours of these. This product I got in the colour “fair” which makes sense.

Applying: Blended into my skin super fast and easily. Is very sheer at first but can be build up a little bit.

Feel: The colour seemed a bit dark at first but blended in fitting my skin nicely. The coverage was so-so but quite okay (if that makes sense)

Packaging: For my sake, I can do without the cardboard packaging used to contain the actual tube with product in. Other than that, I guess it is cool that they have all the information on the packaging.

Scent: I cannot really put my finger on what I think this smell like.

Labels: Clinically tested.

Ingredients: I am so sorry, but this product has WAY too many ingredients- I truly do not think they all are present when used and has honestly been scared away from using this again.
Just before listing these. There are 32 good ingredients and 7 bad.
These are only the BEST and WORST ingredients. All in all, when reading the ingredient list; I see 91 ingredients.

↑ Zinc Oxide: Lubricating, thickening, antioxidant and skin soothing. Sunscreen active ingredients, protects against UVA and UVB. Can be used in makeup to give opacity to products.

Babassu Oil. Emollient and antioxidant while softening and smoothing the skin.
Tocopheryl Acetate: A form of vitamin E. Antioxidant.
Niacinamide: Also called vitamin B3 or nicotinic acid. Improves appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, dullness and uneven skin tone. Skin restoring and skin soothing. Antioxidant..

Pantothenic Acid: Also known as Panthetine. It is vitaminB5. Effective for hydration
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1: Is also called pal-GHK or Palmitoyl Oligopeptide. Helps repair skin damage and strengthens the skin.
Acetyl Carnitine HCL: Great Antioxidant.
Licorice Root: Skin-soothing.
Lactobacillus Ferment: Soothing and hydrating while being able to strengthen the skins ability to defend itself from aggressors.

Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil: Fragrance, can be sensitizing. Comes from the lemon.
Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil: Frangrance, can be sensitizing
Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil: Orange peel oil. Fragrant ingredient. Can be sensitizing. The main component is limonene.
Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil: Can be incredible sensitizing. Low amounts are not problematic, but if it is from beginning to middle or the product smells like grapefruit- be careful. On this list it is a bit above middle but I scent no strong grapefruit.
Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil: Fragrant oil and therefore sensitizing.
Citrus Aurantifolia: Fragrance from Lime.
Cinnamomum: Cinnamomum Camphora. Fragrance that comes from Cinnamon. Can have antioxidant properties but might also aggravate the skin.

Claims: Because this is a CC Cream, I feel like it tries to do a lot of things, most of them not better than just okay. The hydrating factor I do not really feel, though it does give me coverage while blurring lines, smoothing and minimizing the appearance of pores. There is not much colour correcting, and I am wondering how good that SPF actually is, specifically because I squint a bit about these (SPF’s) when they go around 50 and above.
Overall I think it works more like a concealer than the other products they are trying to cover for ( and I would most definitely use it with other products to cover more.

Price: 295 DKK – 40 EURO – 48,5 USD

Will I use it again: I will not use it again or buy a new one, the ingredient list has scared me off completely.

IsaDora – Smooth’n Shine Lipgloss

Their words:

Ready to get wow-lips? This non-sticky lipgloss gives your lips a moist shine and makes them feel as lush as they look. You will either get the colour strawberry daquiri or praline. Applied either alone for a look with shine and light colour or on top of a lipstick to add an extra glossy dimension for your lip makeup.

Comfortable wear, high shine gloss

My thoughts: I got the colour strawberry daiquiri, which looks very pink and very shimmery in the tube.

Applying: Easy to apply, though the applicator itself is a bit hard. You do have to reapply after a couple of hours, but otherwise no real trouble here.

Feel:  When applying feels a bit sticky but soon after just feels moist. Since the colour pretty much matches my lips, I do not see much difference besides the shine and shimmer that this lipgloss offers. It does not feel uncomfortable and is very light.
It doesn’t really go off when I drink either so I am very pleased.

Packaging: The packaging is very girly – well the colour and shimmer is. But otherwise, I honestly find this packaging quite boring and ugly.

Scent: Smells sugary and sweet; which is weird since it is “fragrance free”

Labels: Fragrance free. Clinically tested.

Ingredients:
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Derived from coconut oil & glycerin.  Emollient & skin replenishing. Has a mix of fatty acids that skin can use to replenish its surface and resist moisture loss. Also a thickener.
Ethylhexyl Salicylate: Sunscreen agent. Protects against UVB rays.
Tocopheryl Acetate: A form of vitamin E. Antioxidant.
Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane: Sunscreen Active.
Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate: Emollient and skin conditioning. Can prevent moisture loss and calm aggravated skin. Antioxidant.

Aroma à not really a “bad” product, but simply used to give a lip product taste. Very similar to fragrance. Aroma is not always dangerous, but can be sensitizing if the origin of the aroma comes from a harsh product; for example citrus- and to be honest, we do not know where aromas come from, because they do not have to tell us.
Why do I need my lip product to taste good? Oh and they already said this was fragrance free, so they use aroma to cheat their way around to a nice smelling product?

Claims: I agree on pretty much all claims. It is comfortable to wear, gives a high shine, is non-sticky and makes my lips look cute.

Price: 80 DKK – 11 EURO – 13 USD

Will I use it again: I honestly think I will, though I am not so good at actually putting anything else on my lips than lip balm.
Oh and I will NOT buy a new one! Cheating their way around being “fragrance free” is not something that feels pleasant to support- and though it is not really cheating- the fact that we do not know where the aroma comes from annoys me. Sorry to say.

Rose La Lune Paris – Baby Moon Nail Polish

Their words:

Hello their nails – its time you get a place in the spotlight now the dark months comes. Here is a coral-red the perfect colour. The polish is 100% vegan and the gel-effect makes it last long, have an intense colour and extra shine for your nails! A easy way to get them all pretty at home.

My thoughts: This bright red speaks to me, and though I would not say I am very “look at me” this nail polish is, and I love it.

Applying: Easy to apply, went on in a few strokes. I did have to put on three layers though, to make sure I could not see my actual nail.

Feel: The Colour is bright and red, and to my surprise did not really began chipping until 5 days after I put it on.

Packaging: The packaging is nice though it is very standard for nail polish.

Scent: Take a guess.

Labels: Vegan.

Ingredients: As always, I will not talk about these.

Claims: Super long lasting – normally my nail polish starts wearing off the day after I applied it. It did have an intense colour AND gave them shine. I agree to all claims. 😊

Price: 112 DKK – 15 EURO – 18,5 USD

Will I use it again: Yup I will- I really adore this nail polish.

ModelCo – Liquid Metal Eyeshadow

Their words:

Work it with this liquid eyeshadow that adds dynamic glistening effect for your eyes. It is easy to use, just use it directly on your eyelids and blend with your fingers. The metallic texture sets fast and easy- what’s not to like.

My thoughts: This colour is called champagne. I think I got a liquid eyeshadow from this brand before and as I recall it was alright.

Applying: Very creamy and easy to apply, I simply put it on with the doe foot applicator, and smudged the edges with my finger.

Feel: It does not feel heavy or sticky on my eyelids at all, though it was very creamy and silky when first putting it on.

Packaging: Super standard boring packaging for a liquid eyeshadow. It irritates me that the lid is pink.

Scent: Hang on because this might sound weird. But it smells like wet powder eyeshadow.

Labels: I can find none.

Ingredients:
I had quite some trouble finding the ingredient list, but when I finally did, I only got more confused. Some of the words made no sense, some I could not find anything about and others were cut halfway through.
Nontheless, there is nothing noteworthy in here so whatever.

Claims: First off, I got a glistening effect for my eyes. It is easy to use and sets fast.

Price: 149 DKK – 20 EURO – 24,5 USD

Will I use it again: I think I might, it does look nice, shimmery and a bit festive so great to bring on the go. I wont buy a new one though, I do not enjoy it enough for that.

That is all for this crush Goodiebox, if you have ever tried any of these, I would love to hear in the comments down below!

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!
