Makeup Explained – Eyeshadow Primer

Today the topic is once again makeup, and I will explain, exactly what makeup is and what to use it for

Makeup can be a jungle to wrap your head around.
In this series we are looking closely at the different types of makeup products.

We will be looking at what it is and what it does.

What types exist.

And if you need it, then when should you use it.

Today our focus is all on Eyeshadow Primer (and you can also watch this on my YouTube channel 😉)

WHAT IS IT & WHAT DOES IT DO

An eyeshadow primer or eye primer as they are also called, is a makeup product made to help eyeshadow pop, stick better and last longer. It should be able to keep your eyeshadow in place for longer than if you did not use a primer, while preventing the shadow from creasing.

WHAT TYPES EXIST

All eye primers have the same function, though they come in a few different versions:

  • Anti-age
  • Smudge proof
  • Anti-crease
  • Tinted
  • Waterproof

DO I NEED IT & WHEN SHOULD I USE IT

It is definitely not necessary to use an eyeshadow primer, especially since makeup itself is honestly not a necessity.

If you use eyeshadow – I would deem it a really really good idea to use it, as it helps set your eye look for the rest of the day without smudging.

You should use it before putting on your eyeshadow.

If there is some type of makeup you would like explained, tell me in the comments and we will get to it.

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!
