Something I think we have not really talked about before is alcohol.

I don’t really drink that much alcohol – less than one drink a week, and more likely only once a month. And that is a: oh I will just take one glass of wine/beer/whatever situation.

So to broaden my horizons I wanted to try some new drinks. One of them is this strawberry lemon vodka slushie that I will share with you today.

By no means am I saying we should all drink more, but I would be inclined to share a drink with a friend more often if there was actually a drink that I liked.

Before giving you the actual recipe and some fancy pictures, let me just say: I am not much of an alcohol type (you are probably thinking: yes we know, you just told us), and that means the alcohol and in this case vodka used is really not much compared to “normal” recipes as I do not enjoy the taste of pure alcohol.

Oh, and if you would like to watch the recipe- go to my YouTube Channel, this post and the video will be up at the same time 😊

Now let’s get boozy!

Time to make: 5 minutes

Ingredients (2+ drinks):

  • 300 g frozen strawberries
  • 75g fresh strawberries
  • 4 DL lemonade
  • 1 DL vodka
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Sliced strawberry and lemon to decorate

Instructions

  1. Combine everything (except decorations) in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!

Yup that is all, and that is what I did- so here are some pictures for you to feel the taste (because that is definitely possible).

It was super fresh and enjoyable and for me it tasted just enough of strawberry.

Have you guys ever tried making one of these before and what did you think?

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!
