Keep It Fresh – Goodiebox Review

Keep It Fresh – Goodiebox Review

Today we are looking at the “Keep It Fresh” goodiebox.

It was made after the new year with the thought that it was dark and the winter would never end. That does not mean we will succumb to the darkness (and cold), instead this box was a “Light in the dark” with products to light up your face and refresh your mind.

Ivy Aia – Cleansing Mousse with Vitamin B3

This cleansing mousse is just like magic. When in the flask, it is only a transparent fluid and very watery, but as soon as you pump if out it becomes a mousse.

It is made fantastically without perfume or any other weird ingredients, and smells of absolutely nothing. It is amazing to know that it has been made as carefully as it has.

It cleans my face just fine without drying out my skin, and is overall a good and mild cleansing mousse.

150ml (5oz) costs about 50DKK (6.7Euro) which is actually pretty cheap.

Rodial – Vit C Brightening Mask

This mask is said to be exfoliating, even skin tone and resurface the complexion.

I have had good experience before with their “dragons blood cleansing water” and use it daily, so I was excited to see and feel their other products.

The mask itself smells a little citrusy, and contains a lot of acids (which means it is a strong mask), so be careful if you have irritated skin or injuries.

It has a very thin formula, and is almost a little gel like, but feels like it “dries” into the skin and therefore feels tight.

My skin also felt a little tighter afterwards and my skin looked brighter.

50ml (1.7oz) costs 645DKK (86Euro) but it will go a long way since only a small amount is needed.

You can get it here

Youth Lab. – CC Complete Cream SPF 30

The first thing I noticed was the faint smell of paint. It does not smell bad or strong, but I thought it was a little funny, and it made me wonder what it was made of.

It has been dermatologically tested, and should be paraben & gluten free (but I still wonder where the smell comes from)

It gives a little bit on colour to the skin, but not as much as I thought it would. It does look very pigmented when out of the tube.

It doesn’t really “sink” into the skin in any way and I do not think it is a product I would use again (yes, the smell is a huge turn-off); beside this, the colour is way to orange on my skin.

If you are interested though, is costs about 240DKK (32Euro) and can be bought here

dsc03535.jpg

Laritzy cosmetics – fine dew pot illuminateur in bot

This is the second creamy highlighter I have tried, and the first one I tried turned out disappointing me really bad, so I am excited to see if this one is just as bad (I really do not hope so)

It smells exactly like a stress ball, which is kind of weird and unexpected.

It has an absolutely stunning rose colour, and is easy distributed on the skin. I think this product might work better as a shimmery blush or maybe a subtle highlighter since it is very pigmented. I am very interested in trying out other colours from them because this one it so beautiful, shimmery and pigmented.

It is really easy taking off, do not stick anywhere and leaves no traces. I am impressed!

It costs 130dkk (17,4 Euro) and can be bought on their website

dsc03532.jpg

Goodiebox – Beauty Blender

Compared to some of the other products from goodiebox, I am really impressed with this one!

The sponge itself is very nice and squishy – it is cute and pink.

I use this beauty blender every day, and it blends very well. It does not streak or clump, but helps my makeup distribute prettily.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake the first time to not dampen it – I know, I know, I am ashamed – simply because I am lazy, so it has taken a lot of colour from my products. Afterwards though I remember to dampen it (almost every time) so now my makeup goes a long way.

It costs 120 DKK (16 Euro) and is found on their own website

dsc03529.jpg

What do you guys think, and what is your favorite beauty blender??

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!

On The Go – Goodiebox review

On The Go – Goodiebox review

A new box has arrived and it has a beautiful sky blue colour. The name of the box is on the go, and is all about us going to work or home, and overall going anywhere. They made this box to take with you “on the go” to make anything easier and happier no matter where you are going.

The box contains these things:

Goodiebox -Zip Bag

This was the first thing I noticed because it was well… pink, stringy? And made out of plastic (Which I am NOT a fan of)
Goodiebox made this bag themselves, and I am really sad to say this- but it just feels a little like a cheap knockoff (and the fact that it is plastic just makes me so sad…)

Honestly I got no more to say here, so lets just get going

DSC03582

Goodiebox – tooth brush

We are starting out with two kind of disappointing items.

Once again I notice that the toothbrush is… pink (well it DOES make sense since I goodiebox’s colour is pink) but I would have loved to see something else for once

Another thing I noticed here, is that the toothbrush is made in china AND made out of plastic – cheap plastic. I just get so sad because I feel like they could do so much more, like using reusable material or wood (or something like that)

Nonetheless it IS a very standard toothbrush so it is not anything out of the ordinary, or really bad – I honestly just hoped for more.

DSC03584

Now on to something completely else…

Niré Kabuki Brush

Let’s just take a moment… A short moment to appreciate this absolutely STUNNING, elegant and all around beautiful packaging. I feel like I could just sit down and stare at it all night long.

They even have a little writing on the side telling a little about them which is kind of cute. Their writing says:
“Niré Beauty is a make-up brush brand, designed to a professional standard, blending form and function. Believing the perfect tools for make-up are as unique as the person holding the brush, this versatile kabuki brush was designed for you”

A little further down they have these 3 amazing circles telling a little about the product. It is:
Vegan Friendly
Hypoallergenic
Not Tested On Animals

All in all I am already (just with the packaging) sold.

The brush itself it pretty simple designed (unfortunately not at beautiful as the packaging- just try to imagine a brush that pretty)

It has nice soft hairs without compromising the hardness of the actual brush itself, and it picks up a LOT of pigment, so please be careful.

It costs about 109 DKK (14.6 Euro) depending on where you buy it

DSC03594DSC03597dsc03596-1.jpg

Lavinde – Refreshing Eye Makeup Remover

The first thought that hit me when I saw this product was “I know this brand… but where from…” and then it hit me. I am so stupid.

Lówen changed their name to Lavinde a while back because that name is more recognizable  this way to non-danish people (and easier to say out loud 😛 )

Lavinde has made my all time favorite mascara of all time ever in the world (Okay I think you understand)

I was excited to try this makeup remover out because I love their mascara, so this remover has a lot to live up to.

It says to saturate a cotton pad and then let soak on lashes for 5-10 seconds and then pas off. I had to rub a couple of times to get all my mascara off (which is not unusual) and it came of smoothly without stinging even a little bit, so it is a very gentle remover which I love.

The design is simple and cute which only makes me happy, and the only thing I noticed was a little annoying (or at least unusual) was that it was not so easy to squeeze anything out. I had to shake it out instead (which makes me wuestion if I actually am doing this right?) but at least it makes sure I do not end up just soaking my cotton pad and get the remover all over myself or my table

It costs about 110DKK (14.6 Euro) for 150 ml (5.07 oz) buy it here

DSC03603

Beaver – Cherry Blossom Shampoo

Cuuuuute packaging – YES I know this is pink too, but it goes with the theme of cherry blossoms.

It smells beautiful and flowery (who would have known)

When I was in the shower, in some weird way this shampoo made me massage my scalp even more than I usually do (not in a harsh or damaging way- more like I wanted to be cleaner than usual just because I smelled and used this shampoo)

It costs about 160DKK (21.4Euro) for 350ml (11.8oz) and I recommend buying it if you like subtle flowery smells 😊

DSC03581

Balance Me – Natural Protection Moisturiser SPF 25

First and foremost, this moisturizer is 99% natural! That is just amazing, since most of beauty products are made with at least some type of unnatural ingredients.

The applicator is really convenient- tube like, which makes it easy to distribute.

The creme itself is very thick and reminds me more of sunscreen than a creme. This also makes it a little harder to apply, and I actually used quite a bit for my whole face. Other than this my face did feel moisturized and I love that it has SPF 25.

The smell felt a little citrusy, but it could also be lavender. (Lavender is actually in the content list, citrus is not, so we will go with lavender 😛 )

You can buy 40 ml(1.35oz) for 300DKK (40 euro)

DSC03589

ModelCo – Matte Baked Bronzer

This bronzer looks really nice, and gave a natural glow.

I did use waaaaay to much to start with, but if you just remember to not use too much, it gives a really beautiful summery glow!

If you use too much though, it will collect itself in a patch – like the picture below

The design itself is very neutral which I like.

It costs 190DKK (25.4 Euro)

GOSH – Giant Blush

This one was a rollercoaster.

I was looking forward to trying this blush so much, because it is my first stick blush.

Unfortunately the first thing that happened when I opened it = the blush killed itself on my desk.

I was really sad about this but my sadness quickly went away after talking with the amazing goodiebox team. They promised to send a new one my way, so that I can actually use it as intended. Yay for customer service!

The colour is really pretty (yes I used the broken part by taking it with my bare hands- I just had to see the swatch) It was really pigmented and creamy, and can give a very nice subtle blush if you just use a little bit. I am indeed impressed by the colour of it!

I’ll be looking forward to getting one that is not broken so that I can start playing!

You can get it for 100DKK (13.38Euro)

All in all I had very confused feelings about this box. Some things were amazing- some not so much.

What I am most excited to hear though, is about you guys!

Have any of you tried these, and what did you think?

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!

Looking back at reviews- do I use it?

Looking back at reviews- do I use it?

I have been writing about and trying out a lot of products recently, and how you feel about the products firsthand is a good sign for knowing if you will use it later

Today we are looking back on some of the products I liked, that I am-or am not- using still.

James Read – H20 Tan Drops Face (again)

I wrote about this product in the “Dancing in the rain” review, and I said I would keep on trying it for a while to see if it would actually give me a bit tanner skin.

After using it for almost a week I noticed that my skin did get a nice glow, and it does seem tanner. Not dark or unnatural, but it does look like I enjoyed the sun for quite some days. My face looks healthy and fresh, and I am quite impressed.

I am a little afraid of using too much, because I do not want my face to have another colour than the rest of my skin. While trying this on my face, I mixed it with my normal face cream on my hand, and I have noticed that my hand have also gotten tanner (which looks a little stupid because my other hand is still pale as ever)

I do like this product, but I definitely need a plate or something to mix on from now on xD

Beside this, I only use it once in a while now, since I do not need that much of a tan, but just a little glow.

DSC03522

Clean – Rain Eau De Parfum

This one I really liked, and said I would definitely use again…

I have kept that promise faitfully, and used it almost every day since then!

The smell it fresh, nice and wet, which makes me all happy and warm inside.

When this one is used up, I just NEED a new one! ❤

DSC03521

You can read the “Dancing in the Rain” review here

Raunsborg – Hand Cream

This one I talked about in the “Powered by” goodiebox and I really liked it! It was smooth and comfortable with a subtle and clean scent without being sticky.

I wanted to use this way more, but honestly, I am really bad at using hand creams (shame on me), so I only ended up using it about once or twice afterwards.

I will try using it more though, because it is one of the best hand creams I have used in ages.

If you click this link it will take you to the “Powered By” review

Vichy – Aqualia thermal rehydrating cream – light

When I posted the review with this one, I had almost used it up completely. Now there is absolutely no more left.

I absolutely adored this cream (especially the fact that is was made with 97% natural ingredients) and felt rich without feeling greasy.

I have not bought a new one yet, since I need to use up some of the houndreds creams I have at home right now. It has been stored in my “need to buy again” basket.

DSC03428

Ziaja – Manuka Tree Deply Cleansing Peeling Paste

One peeling product I will forever remember is this peeling paste. It took me 100% by surprise by being so amazing, useful and effective as it was, and I use it at least a couple of times a week.

I will be using this for the time to come too, and I WILL repurchase it when it becomes empty.

It was in the HI and BYE goodiebox review, and you can find it here

DSC03422

Lavinde – Beyond – Volume & curl mascara

This mascara is STILL my favorite even though I am not using it right now (I am trying out another mascara-also for the blog 😉 )

I got it in the HI and BYE goodiebox, and it lifts, curls, and makes my lashes seem stronger and more beautiful in a very natural way.

This mascara has also been stored in my “need to buy again” basket, and will be in my heart forever! (or at least until I find something better-if that is possible)

If you want to know more about this fantastic mascara, or any of the other products in the HI and BYE goodiebox, you can read the review here

Have any of you guys tried these yet and what do you think? I’m curiuos to know 😀

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time 🙂

Dancing in the rain – Goodiebox review

Dancing in the rain – Goodiebox review

I got this goodiebox just this morning and it is all about over shading the aww-days with happiness and positive vibes. These products are all about feeling good.

Miqura – hair steam mask

I feel like Miqura tried a little hard to make a mask that would be easier and more convenient to use than any other mask ever made.

They made this mask as a shower cap so that is will be easier to wear, and you will have an easy time doing something else meanwhile you give your hair some love.
They say on the “how to” on the package that you need to put your hair in a bun in you got longer hair (which I do) and that takes all the “convenient and easy mask in a cap” magic away. If I need to put my hair in a bun, I might as well use any other type of mask, and then just put my hair in a bun. That would do the same for me.

It is a really good mask, that softens your hair, but I still feel like they tried to hard being simple and easy that they just messed it up.

You can buy one mask for about 70DKK (9.4 Euro)

or buy it here

DSC03519

Daily Concepts – exfoliating body scrubber

This body scrubber does the job really well! It exfoliates my body easily and very fast.

The design is cute, but if I try to exfoliate using the band on the scrubber, the edges of the scrubber kind of rolls in under itself and makes it hard to do anything. It is easier just grabbing a hold on the scrubber and use it that way.

It costs 50DKK (6.7 Euro)

you can go to their web page here

Goodiebox – Detangler Brush

This is a fine brush, but a little prickly because of the hard plastic spikes.

It takes a little bit of hair at a time to detangle, so it might take a while to brush all the hair.

It works in dry hair as well as wet.

I would rather just use a normal brush and battle out my tangles violently (since that is faster without anything poking me.

It costs 100DKK (13.4 Euro) (but I cannot find it anywhere)

DSC03517

Nails Inc. – Anti Social Climber Nail Polish

First of all, I love this name so much! It is both funny and quirky.

It even has an explanation on the label, It says that Anti Social Climer is a noun and means: Cancel plans. Climbs into bed.

The bottle itself was really hard to open so I had to take the white outer cap off, and then use my teeth to loosen the black cap. Even after loosening it, and then putting both caps on again, I had a hard time opening it again, so I might have to call for my teeth next time also.

The polish is a beautiful rose colour that makes me all happy and excited for summer. It dried incredible fast (about 2 minutes) and I will use this again as long as I can get the cap off without ruining my teeth.

It costs 150DKK (20Euro)

get it here

DSC03512

Clean – Rain Eau De Parfum

This perfume has a really fresh smell, just like fallen rain (which makes sense)

I got mine in a sample version with a roll on, which I think is very convenient. I will definitely use this again!!

Costs 400DKK (53.5 Euro) for 30 ml (1oz)

it can be bought here

DSC03521

James Read – H20 Tan Drops Face

The packaging of this was the first thing I noticed. It is stunning with the white and gold design that makes it look really exclusive.

I have used this only once, so I will use it some more before giving my final verdict. It did not really look like it “tanned” my face, but it did give a nice glow.

30 ml (1oz) costs 300 DKK (40 Euro)

can be bought here

DSC03522

Unfortunately most of these products were misses for me (mostly design wise), but the parfume I really do love though.

Have you tried any of these and what do you think?

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!

HI AND BYE – Goodiebox review

HI AND BYE – Goodiebox review

This goodiebox is an old one (many of the upcoming goodieboxes is from last year, but I really want to test out and show you everything about the old products just like the new ones!)

The box was called Hi And Bye and was meant as a hi to everything summer, travels, blue skies and summer dresses.
Bye was meant for the short winter days, cold weather and fat creams.

That is why the box contains light products, that makes you happy and ready for a great summer!

Garnier – Micellar Cleansing Water

This cleansing water could be one of my favorites (but I have a lot of cleansers to I take one at a time).

It is perfume free and made for normal and sensitive skin which is perfect for me because that means there will be no itching or stinging even when coming close to the eyes.

This product removes dirt and grime fast and (furious…) effective and feels really light on the skin.

You can buy 400 ml (13.5 oz) for 70DKK (9.4 Euro)

you can buy it here

DSC03430.JPG

Vichy – aqualia thermal rehydrating cream – Light

This cream I have almost used up completely already. I have been used this every time after a shower (after using the Evolve organic beauty – hyaluronic serum 200 first) and I am a fan.

It is made with 97% natural ingredients and gives an instantly feeling of fresh, moisturized skin without getting greasy since it is absorbed into the skin almost immediately.

It was really hard finding one specific price, so an estimate is, that it costs around 200DKK (26,8 Euro) for 50ml (1,7oz)

It can be bought here

DSC03428.JPG

Løwén – Beyond – Volume & Curl Mascara

This mascara is my absolutely favorite and has been that for almost a year now.

My lashes get a beautiful lift and become even longer and fuller without looking unnatural (mind the picture though, right now my mascara is ready to be thrown out, so this is not a 100% accurate picture of how my lashes looked before it got too old. Before they looked just as long but not as clumpy as the picture (in fact it was not clumpy at all))

The mascara contains a length giving serum called biotinoyl-complex that gives your lashes a boost, and is made in cooperation with asthma-allergy Danmark. This makes sure there is no weird things in your mascara that can cause allergies.

If you want this mascara, the company has changed name and is now called lavinde. It costs around 180DKK (24Euro)

Psst: this mascara even won a Danish Beauty Award!

I got mine here  (I bought an extra one just in case…)

DSC03421.JPG

Paese – Diamond Eyeshadow

This eyeshadow gives a natural shimmery look with a metallic shine, and the colour is so perfect it could look stunning on just about everyone!

You can use it both wet and dry all depending on how much pigment you want.

It costs 90DKK (12 Euro)

DSC03429.JPG

Ilse Jacobsen – Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion & Body Shampoo

I am a little disappointed with this duo because it felt a little meh to me.

Ilse Jacobsen is a great designer, who started out designing simple, elegant and beautiful rubberboots. (she was one of the first persons to show, that rubberboots didn’t just have to be practical (and ugly) they could be chic, elegant, beautiful AND practical at the same time) so I was really excited to see what she has made with this duo.

The packaging is really simple and pretty, but the products itself is not really worldbreaking.

The body lotion has a mild scent, and feels smooth to the touch while moisturizing your body.

The body shampoo on the other hand has a way to strong scent for me. It did the job cleaning my body just fine though.

All in all, I like the body lotion, but the body shampoo wasn’t really my style.

Mostly I am sad, because the products didn’t live up to my (maybe too) high expectaions.

They cost 112DKK (15 Euro) for 295ml (10 oz)

in case you are interested, you can get it here

dsc03420.jpg

ZIAJA – Manuka Tree Deeply Cleansing Peeling Paste

This peeling paste took me 110% by surprise!!

I have tried A LOT of peeling products in my time and every single one that told me they were deeply cleansing, were cleansing pretty normally

With this I mean, they did peel my skin, and felt just fine, but I never really felt or saw a DEEP cleansing… before this Peeling Paste met my skin.

While massaging the paste into my skin I really FELT the peeling effect. It felt really nice, and almost like changing my old skin into a new and better one.

After washing the paste off and seeing my face, it looked much brighter and it actually reduced my pores and removed some of my blackheads.

My skin felt perfectly ready for further products to be absorbed into my new, clean and fresh skin.

I will be using this as much as possible (but not too much of course) from now on!

It only costs 30DKK (4Euro) for 75ml (2.5 oz) (that’s insanely cheap!!!)

get yours here!!

dsc03422-e1555418347168.jpg

Clean- Lovegrass Eau de Parfum

This product was just a sample, and I used it up already. That is also why I do not have any pictures of it.

It smelled really fresh and clean (ha. ha.)

30ml (1oz) costs 400DKK (53,6 Euro)

Have any of you ever tried any of these and what do you think?

I am absolutely in love with both the Peeling Paste and the Mascara!! ❤

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time 😊

Goodiebox review update- do -I even use it???

Goodiebox review update- do -I even use it???

Around two weeks ago I posted my goodiebox review. Today I want to tell you how it went (with the things that needed more time to try out) and if I actually use some of them now.

REN Clean skincare- Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream

I haven’t used this since last even though it was my favorite product. The reason? I am currently using another day cream and want to finish that one before really going into this one. Will be using it very soon though, and I am still very impressed by it.

DSC03373

GOSH – Growth Serum

I have been using this for around two weeks now, and see no difference in the length of my lashes (sadly). Normally my eyes can start to water when I go to bed at night, but that does not happen very often.
After putting the GOSH- growth serum on in the evening, I have noticed that my eyes start to water every single night.
It doesn’t feel stingy or irritating but it is really annoying with my eyes watering, since I always end up having to dry them.
I fear this might be why the serum doesn’t work for me- I end up drying it off when drying my eyes in the evening.

DSC03376

Sandstone Scandinavia – Mascara Intense

I have only used this mascara a few times, since I am very loyal to my normal mascara, and want to use the old one up, before really going into the new.

DSC03379

Rodial- Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Water

I use this every single morning and every single evening to clean my skin.
I still think it wipes of both makeup and excess dust/grime perfectly- even though I am still careful around the eye area.

DSC03370

Rituals – Happy Foaming Shower Gel

I have used this a few times while showering, but only when I take a long, relaxing bath, since the smell and texture of this shower gel makes me both happy and relaxed.

DSC03366

Karmameju – HERO pH solution 02

I have mostly used this product after washing the dishes (because we do not have a dishwasher) and I feel like it helps my skin back to “normal”. My hands do feel a little greasy afterwards though if I accidently use a little too much.

DSC03367

I hope this gives you an idea about the “quality” of the products compared to the ones I use.
Some products might seem absolutely amazing when you try them out, but if they just end up sitting on your desk forever, they might not actually be worth it.

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time!

The importance of sleep

The importance of sleep

One thing that is one of the most important things for me is…

Sleep.

Without sleep we would go absolutely crazy, feel angry, sullen and tired all the time. Especially the lasy few years, I have been thinking about all the reasons to get a good night’s sleep, and one of my first posts was even about sleep.

Today is just a reminder of my old post about sleep and the importance of it.

If you want to read more, the post from last time is here

I hope you all have a good read, and do your best, to sleep your best!

I hope you all have a happy life, one day at a time
